ΩLuis Navarro at the Grande Arche de la Défense
In the late 20th century, Luis Navarro was invited to exhibit his works at the Grande Arche de la Défense in Paris, a monument inaugurated in 1989 to mark the bicentennial of the French Revolution. Designed by Johan Otto von Spreckelsen, the massive cube of glass and Carrara marble symbolizes openness, progress, and human rights.
Displaying his surrealist creations in such an emblematic space placed Navarro among a select group of international artists recognized within this architectural icon. For Navarro, the exhibition confirmed both the universality of his Navarresque Surrealism and its capacity to connect history with modernity, tradition with innovation.
