ΩPromotion to the Order of European Courtesy – 1990
In 1990, Luis Navarro was awarded the Promotion to the Order of European Courtesy in Brussels by the Cercle Européen de la Courtoisie. This honor recognized not only his artistic excellence but also his embodiment of values such as respect, dialogue, and cultural fraternity through art.
The medal, deep blue with golden stars encircling the European emblem, symbolized unity and courtesy as principles of coexistence. Unlike distinctions focused solely on artistic achievement, this award highlighted Navarro’s role as a bridge between cultures, aligning his Navarresque Surrealism with broader European ideals. Receiving this recognition in Brussels, Europe’s capital, emphasized his dual position as both creator and cultural ambassador.
